The panels of the Libra product family represent a “Plug & Play” solution with built-in advanced technology for the monitoring and management of electrical loads, energy production from renewable sources, other utilities (such as electricity, water, compressed air, natural gas, steam) and environmental parameters.

The Libra net communicate via Ethernet and/or Wi-Fi in an existing Wi-Fi network and can be the starting point for more structured monitoring systems with the ability to set up a network / sub-network with other Electrex devices.

The Libra net Wide are Libra net but in a wider panel which can contain Electrex RS485 transducers for monitoring up to 7 measuring points, in addition to various possible environmental sensors with a single panel.

The Libra Expansion instead are panels containing Electrex devices with RS485 port that can be connected in a sub-network as expansions of the Libra net. The Libra net and net Wide can monitor single harmonics up to the 51° order, in addition to the measures listed in the table beside and are equipped with built-in clock/memory for synchronous logging of the energy and environmental parameters. The Libra panels include a built-in WEB server for the display of real-time measures (Upgrade Web), charts and graphs with historical data (Upgrade Charts). More features (Upgrade) can be added via PUK code entry.

The Libra net are equipped also with: 2 x 4 inputs board for Electrex environmental sensors (temp., humidity, luminosity and pressure), 2 digital inputs for status and /or counting and 2 digital outputs for status and/or impulses.

The Libra net are equipped also with an UPS in order to assure the continuity of the power supply for the panel even when present interruptions of the load. The UPS is critical for applications with automated tasks and/or alarms triggering other devices.

Versions of the Libra net panels:

• Libra ECT UPS net Wi-Fi Eda H designed for loads up to 50kW (uses exclusively ECT Electrex CT); Can be upgraded from ”H” to “PQ” version for the monitoring of the Power Quality events (peaks, sags, swells, micro-interruptions, etc).

• Libra UPS net Wi-Fi Eda H designed for loads higher than 50kW (uses any third party CT../5A or ../1A);

• Libra F UPS net Wi-Fi Eda H designed for applications where it is not possible to use the split core CT (uses exclusively flexible Electrex FCTS series CT).

• Libra UPS net Wi-Fi Eda PQ version for the monitoring of the Power Quality events (peaks, sags, swells, micro-interruptions, etc) using any third party CT../5A or ../1A.

• Libra F UPS net Wi-Fi Eda PQ version for the monitoring of the Power Quality events (peaks, sags, swells, micro-interruptions, etc) using exclusively flexible Electrex FCTS series CT

The Libra Expansion instead are Plug&Play panels to be used for the second tier loads and are available in the versions including 3 x Femto D4 and 6 x Femto D4 energy analyzers.

Plug & Play

All the Libra panels are equipped with polarized connectors for a fast and always-correct installation; the panels are pre-configured or/and can be configured via the built-in web interface or software Energy Brain Configurator.

DC UPS

The Libra net are equipped with a 12Vdc (DC UPS) battery in order to assure the continuity of the power supply for the panel even when present interruptions of the load. The UPS is critical for applications with automated tasks and/or alarms triggering other devices.

8 inputs for environmental sensors

The Libra net are equipped with 8 inputs for environmental sensors. 2 x 4SI boards equipped with Sensor Bus I2C for connecting, to each board, up to 4 Sensor Bus Unit Electrex (temperature or up to 1 for the temperature, 1 for the humidity, 1 for the luminosity and 1 for the air pressure). The max total distance of the I2C bus is 20 m.

2 Digital Inputs

 The Libra net are equipped with 2 optically insulated digital inputs with programmable filter for input glitches. The digital input is set to operate for external pulse count of, example, water meters, gas meters (insulation to meet the ATEX requirements), water meters, quantity count, etc. The max sampling frequency is 500Hz (2ms). Other user selectable operative modes are ON/OFF state input (example for reading the ON/OFF state of machines and switches). The digital input requires an external 10-30Vdc power supply.

 2 Digital Outputs

The Libra net are equipped with two optically insulated transistor outputs rated 27 Vdc 27 mA according to DIN 43864 standards. The outputs may be set for the transmission of pulses or alternatively configured as outputs of the internal alarms (see Alarms) or as remote output devices controlled via serial line and Modbus commands.


Libra ECT net using ECT type CT

The Libra ECT net use exclusively the Electrex ECT type CT (for loads up to 50kW three phase):

• ECT TA 70/100A 9MM (13MM) Power Quality Current Transformer Code PFAE000-00: external CT for AC loads up to 100A. Plastic shell. Internal size 9 mm. Version 13MM: code PFAE000-01 and internal size 13 mm.



• ECT CTS 16-70/100A (17-200A on request) Split Core Power Quality Current Transformer Code PFAE000-02: external CT for AC loads up to 100A.

Plastic shell. Equipped with a snap-on closing, screwless mounting system. Internal size 16 mm. Protection on the secondary circuit. Version 17-200A: code PFAE000-03 and internal size 17 mm.



The Libra net F version for Electrex Flexible CTs

The Libra net are equipped with current inputs exclusively for the Electrex Flexible split core current transformers FCTS (mV output and appropriate internal linearization in order to maximize measurement accuracy).

WARNING: Do not connect to these current inputs of CT with output in current (eg. ../1A or ../5A) because it may damage both the Kilo F D6 and the CT.

Selectable Full Scale and Class 1 accuracy (overall accuracy flexible CT + measuring instrument) between the full scale and 1/100 of the full scale. Minimum measurable current equal to 1/500 of the full scale.
