A NEW PARADIGM FOR URBAN ENERGY SYSTEMS
Energy systems are experiencing a transition towards new design and management models, the so-called “Smart Energy Systems”, in which energy networks (heat, electricity, gas, transport, etc.) will be integrated with each other in order to maximize the possible synergies.
The main objective of the Energynius project, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund, is to explore and promote new planning and management strategies for urban energy systems, which are able to minimize the use of fossil fuels.
To respond efficiently to this challenge, it is necessary to design and manage energy networks and services (gas, heat, electricity, transport) in an integrated manner: the intelligent use of energy conversion and storage systems can trigger favorable synergies.
The project, coordinated by LEAP – Laboratorio Energia e Ambiente Piacenza, envisions the synergistic collaboration of research centers and companies.
Electrex is selected as an industrial partner of the project together with Iren, Antas, Siram Veolia, CPL Concordia, BorgWarner and Optit
Electrex will be involved in the development of devices for monitoring and controlling energy production, storage and distribution systems in both residential and industrial energy districts.
Our team will provide support for the development of models and algorithms capable of autonomously exploiting the data made available by monitoring systems and forecasting models.
Electrex will in addition develop complex solutions for maximizing energy efficiency that will be automatically implemented in the devices so as to be able to control the systems of production, storage and distribution.
